The Roller Coaster is a magic thrill,
But, Angel, I can’t do it every day.
We’re warm and happy going up the hill,
But the descent will soon be on its
way.
I’m too old to live on the borderline
Between laughing joy and bitter fury.
All I want to know is that you are
fine,
But you need to be my judge and jury.
Right now, the world needs our full
attention
Before it goes up in murderous flames.
We don’t need to be causing more
tension,
And wasting our time on gossip and games.
I am proud that I know the best of you,
Remember me as your old friend named
Sue.
